ARE YOU EXPERIENCING UNEXPLAINED PHENOMENON? Print

We are here to help you. Each investigator, in their field of expertise, has compiled a list of possible scientific (non-paranormal) causes of "paranormal" activity. We feel that many "hauntings" may be the result of natural causes. This does not mean we do not believe in ghosts or the paranormal, we all do. However, we would like to help you rule out the natural occurrences in nature that can sometimes lead one to believe they are experiencing a haunting. Our goal is to make each of you feel safe in your environment.

If you find that this information does not help you, please call us! Our trained team of investigators and researchers will provide private consultations and in-home investigations to you free of charge.

Again, before you contact us, please read through the following information to see if you can self-diagnose your situation. You will be surprised in what you'll learn.

FAQ Self-Diagnosis

LIGHTS & SHADOWS

- Be aware of mirrors, glass, shiny surfaces that may be reflecting light. Neighbors windows may catch and richochet light into your window.
Headlights from street often reflect off shiny object (from large mirrors to small can lides). This can create double and even triple refractions (i.e.. light reflects off mirror, out door into hallway or another room.) Car light may not hit what taller vehicle lights hit.

- Dim light can appear bright when your eyes are accustmoed to darkness

- Optical illusion occurs if you gaze at contrasting scene, looking elsewhere you'll see a reverse image (i.e. nightlight becomes black orb floating in the air)

OBJECTS ROCKING OR SHAKING

- diligently check floor boards all around the area to see if stepping in a spot affects another spot in a room. Loose floorboards could cause rocking chairs to rock, head boards to bang against wall, bookshelfs to become unstable, etc.

SOUNDS

- Plumbing & central air/head can cause moving noises which could sound like footsteps as the floor is heated or pipes/hoses expand/contract from the heat or cold.

- Turn each faucet on/off, flush toilets, turn on heat/air to see if it affects the area you hear noises.

- Don't forget crawl spaces, attics and peaked roof spaces. Rodents, birds, creepy ex-boyfriends may walking around, making the boards creek or making odd noises

- Odd noises can be made by air registers and vents. Note how the sound of air coming though sounds like from different rooms.

- During the day these noises may be occurring but we are busy and preoccupied and we don't hear them. At night you are quiet and more aware and ever little sound can be heard.

- Noises outside can reverberate in a home. Car door may sound like entry doors, etc. If you feel you are hearing a certain window or door open, engage a friend to open that window or door while you are in the room you hear it from to see if that was the sound. You may find you can't even hear it from that room and it was just something outside or elsewhere.

- Sounds travels easily through a room is the structure is built with a domed ceiling or curved ceiling walls. If the acoustics are right, you can even whisper in one corner & someone can hear the whisper at the opposite wall. Heating/AC vents on one side could hear like someone breathing close to you when you are standing on the other side of the room.
